A little more about us:

Marine Moms-Bethesda provides a monthly luncheon at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD on the combat surgical floor, serving the patients and families on the 4th floor and Traumatic Brain Injury unit, and families standing vigil on the ICU unit.

Patients are often recently arrived from Landstuhl, Germany, not long off of the battlefield, or have returned for additional follow-up surgeries. Families are hundreds, if not thousands, of miles from home, leaving everything behind to stay by their Loved One's bedside as the recovery process from catastrophic wounds, injures or illness begins.

Luncheons every other month are hosted at Mercy Hall, a small out-patient transition barracks on base. Residents of Mercy Hall are often young, single service members living on their own, waiting for their medical discharge, or are ambulatory patients recovering from surgery without caregivers to help them. (Think hot dogs and beans - they cook for themselves or eat out!)

As funding and schedules allow, luncheons are hosted on the Traumatic Brain Injury ward at Walter Reed for the TBI patients, families, and staff.

The Richmond luncheons at Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center serve patients and their families, some we've met previously at Walter Reed, and caregivers, on the Polytrauma, Spinal Cord, and PTRP units 4 times a year.

Marine Moms-Bethesda serves ALL service branches, and often serves Veterans from past wars.

100% of funds received directly benefit those we serve. All equipment, overhead and administrative costs are out-of-pocket expenses for our volunteers, or have been donated by "Elfs".

Marine Moms-Bethesda is not an IRS-recognized non-profit. Please contact your financial advisor if this is an issue for you.

Hello!

There's nothing much better than "comfort food" during a stressful, challenging time, is there? And that's what Marine Moms-Bethesda is all about! COMFORT FOOD, and bringing "touches of home" since 2005 to combat patients and their families during their recovery at Walter Reed!

Please consider joining us in supporting our Nation's combat wounded, ill and injured active duty service members and Veterans by participating in our annual quilt raffle.

100% of the proceeds will fund luncheons at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Bethesda, MD and Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center, Richmond, VA, bringing "touches of home" and comfort food to their "home away from home".
This year we are pleased to present
"Tranquility".
